By Las Rodrigo – Head of Recruitment, Links International Macau
2016 is drawing to a close. As with probably most recruitment companies in Macau, or even most recruitment companies in Asia, it has been a year of ups and downs and no doubt lots of things have been learned along the way. We here at Links International Macau have certainly had a year that’s been challenging, but all in all very positive.

Macau is a place that is continually evolving. This year we have seen the opening of The Parisian, which is part of the Sands Group, as well as the opening of Wynn Palace, for which Steve Wynn himself was personally involved. No expense was spared on either venue, with extravagant opening parties and celebrity visits from all over the world.
The number of visitors to Macau continues to increase quarter on quarter, year on year, and the emphasis on attractions is seemingly more evident. Fantastic shows such as Thriller Live, One FC (for the fight fans) and even the St Petersburg Ballet have been attracting people to Macau, rather than just the traditional gambling market, although this does still continue to outperform that of Las Vegas.
As a recruitment company in Macau, we are also evolving with the times, as we continue to grow, both with the number of clients and diverse markets in which we operate, as well as attracting top quality talent to our business.
In line with this, Links Macau has moved to a bigger and better office! Our new location is located at:
Avenida da Praia Grande, No. 762-804
China Plaza Building
8 Andar F
Macau
Feel free to drop by and come and speak to our team!
The demand for strong talent is a challenge that recruitment companies in Asia all experience, so we hope that with our new office, we can continue to provide the local Macau market with the quality talent that the demand requires.
There are more exciting plans ahead for Macau, with the opening of the new Lisboa Palace, Louis XIII and MGM National Harbor all planned for 2017. The opening of each venue will cost well into the billions of US dollars and will ensure that Macau maintains its position as a must visit tourist destination, but also a place where business will thrive.
