2024 Minimum Wage Rates
The minimum wage rates in the National Capital Region (NCR) are as follows as of 17 July 2024:
- Non-Agriculture: PHP 645.00
- Agriculture (Plantation and Non-Plantation): PHP 608.00
- Service/Retail Establishments (employing 15 workers or less): PHP 608.00
- Manufacturing Establishments (regularly employing less than 10 workers): PHP 608.00
These rates cover the cities of Caloocan, Las Piñas, Makati, Malabon, Manila, Marikina, Muntinlupa, Parañaque, Pasay, Pasig, Quezon, San Juan, Taguig, and Valenzuela, Navotas and Pateros.
Working Hours and Overtime Pay
The daily working hours of an employee must not exceed 8 hours per day, as stated in Article 83, Chapter I, Title I, Book Three of the Labor Code of the Philippines. Overtime compensation is applicable as follows:
- Regular working days: 25% overtime pay of their hourly rate.
- Rest days and special holidays: 30% overtime pay of their hourly rate.
Supervisors and managers are exempt from this overtime payment system.
