Types of Work Visas in Taiwan
Foreign professionals deciding work in Taiwan have 3 options:
- Employment Gold Card
- Industries eligible: Science & Technology, Economy, Education, Culture & Arts, Sport, Finance, Law, Architecture
- Each application period is 1-3 years.
- Employment PASS Card
- Specialised or technical roles including technical workers, overseas Chinese or foreign business supervisors, teachers (including full-time foreign language teachers), sports coaches or athletes, religious and artistic performers, show business workers and consultants or researchers invited by government bodies or affiliated institutions.
- Entrepreneur Visa
- Entrepreneur visas apply to foreign nationals, including Hong Kong and Macau residents with innovative technology skills and typically offer a one-year residence visa.

Obtaining a Work Visa
