This year’s Company Summit in Kuala Lumpur was more than just a gathering – it marked a celebration of growth, collaboration, and shared vision across our global operations. Keith Wong, Links’ Regional Director of Greater China and Southeast Asia shares, “From the moment the first team members touched down, the energy was palpable. Colleagues from across Asia Pacific and the Middle East came together in one dynamic city, ready to reconnect and recharge.”
Keith explains – In 2018, Links expanded its operations to Malaysia – starting with just five team members. Today, that number has grown to 60+. The summit provided a valuable opportunity for these team members to connect in person, strengthening bonds and building cross-border relationships. Keith shares, “Our reach now extends beyond Southeast Asia, with exciting developments as we continue to grow and hire in the region, with a strong focus on expansion in Japan.”
A Truly Regional Team, United in One Place
Keith says, “With teams flying in from across the region, Kuala Lumpur became the perfect meeting point for our diverse workforce. From early morning coffee runs to late-night group drinks, there was a shared excitement in finally meeting in person – many for the first time. Colleagues who had only spoken via email or video calls got the chance to put faces to names, exchange stories, and strengthen bonds that will carry over into the day-to-day work we do together.”
Activities That Sparked Connection
The summit was packed with activities designed not just for fun, but for deeper connection. “Whether it was through interactive workshops, team-building challenges, or casual games during breaks, everyone had a chance to step out of their usual roles and see each other in a new light. These moments reminded us that strong collaboration starts with human connection – and we left with more than just new contacts, but real friendships,” says Keith.
Reflecting on Challenges and Working Smarter
Keith shares that while we’re all busy managing priorities and delivering results, the summit gave us space to step back and reflect. Many of us face similar challenges – tight timelines, shifting demands, and the need to collaborate across time zones. Through open discussions and breakout sessions, we explored how we can support one another better, improve communication, and align more effectively. The honest sharing and real-time problem-solving were refreshing and empowering, reminding us that growth isn’t just about doing more – it’s about doing better, together.
Sharing Direction and Growing Together
Keith shares, “One of the highlights of the summit was hearing directly from our leadership team about the direction of the company. With transparency and ambition, they outlined how we’re continuing to grow – not just as a business, but as a community. The vision for the future was clear, and it resonated deeply with all of us. More than ever, we’re aligned in our goals, empowered in our roles, and inspired to reach new heights together.”
