The Dream of Work-Life Balance in Hong Kong
In a place like Hong Kong that’s known for its long working hours, what does it mean to have work-life balance?
Achieving work-life balance in Hong Kong will always be a challenge. For Nick who was ambitious in developing his professional career, it was important that his job gave him the opportunity to grow without burning out.
Nicholas Lo is a new joiner to the Links Recruitment IT team. Previously, he had been in market research, managing multiple projects and working long hours that sometimes extended to 3 am the next day. It was an unsustainable lifestyle with a career development that only seemed to demand even longer hours.
A Career in Recruitment with Links International #WorkSmartPlayHard
The change came when a close friend had introduced Nick to recruitment as a possible career change. He was especially intrigued by the flexible hours, an opportunity for growth, and fast returns.
Having connected with Victor Tsang, our IT recruitment manager, he was immediately drawn by the work culture at Links. Promoting smart working, Links Recruitment is all about approaching work effectively and getting the job done.

“I’m glad I joined Links. Coming into recruitment, I knew it would be a challenge, but at Links I was able to adapt more quickly thanks to the people and the training. Thanks to the on job support and personalised targets, I’m able to fit right in!”
